1. What did the team review?

The team looked at every website to see whether they are:

  • Providing a good navigation
  • Ensuring the key information on the homepage is up to date
  • Offering a good online donation process
  • Using the CMS’s advanced feature to bring content to life
  • Providing a device-responsive website
  • Using Google Analytics to monitor performance and drive improvement
  • Making the most of social media.

Some of these elements are weighted higher than others for the scoring in the audit because they have greater influence over the user’s experience.

Partners were given an overall score and then were put into one of three bands:

  • Working towards a minimum web standard
  • Working at the minimum web standard
  • Working beyond the minimum web standard

2. The overall results

  • 31% of partners are working towards a minimum web standard
  • 60% of partners are working at a minimum web standard
  • 8% of partners are working beyond a minimum web standard
